I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #120796) currently working in private practice. I also provide support to a local non-profit agency that serves Middle Eastern immigrants and refugees that have experienced trauma and domestic violence. I received my M.S. in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at San Diego State University.
My desire to become a therapist comes from a genuine interest in helping people achieve wellness, particularly the Black community. As a new Black clinician in San Diego, it became overwhelmingly noticeable that there was a need for support and resources for Black mental wellness professionals. Our desire with CCBMW is to establish a way to connect Black mental wellness professionals. My hope for this space is to grow stronger in knowledge and support each other while supporting the Black community. I am looking forward to collaborating with you all soon.
